Land Use Law in North Carolina

“At least once a week I am searching School publications, especially Coates' Canons, for help with an issue on which I am currently working. It is my go-to research mechanism and I find that it helps me find the answer I am seeking almost every time.”

“A substantial number of decisions are made each year by the North Carolina legislature and State court system. The UNC School of Government does an excellent job of tracking and interpreting these new laws and cases, then passing along valuable information about how local governments need to amend their own regulations or policies to be consistent with recent rulings. This information from the School of Government saves a significant amount of research time, is generally more accurate than what I would develop personally, and guides my decisions to prevent lawsuits or other challenging situations.”
